ADMACOM

Advanced manufacturing routes for metal/composite components for aerospace

The aim of ADMACOM is to develop innovative manufacturing technologies based on advanced design of interfaces and of joining materials for aerospace components, funded by “Factories of the Future-Public-Private Partnership" programme for research and innovation in the manufacturing sector (FP7-2013).

The ADMACOM activity will be exploited the combination of:

  • Advanced design of interfaces and joining materials/technologies to maximise interface strength
  • Surface engineering for selective matrix removal from the composite surface
  • Laser structuring and mechanical machining of the composite/metal surface
  • A suitable joint design and computer simulations

Funding: €3.9 M

Duration: From Oct 2013 (3 years)
