Congratulations to Fawad Inam for being the recipient of MATERIALS WORLD AWARD 2008. He was awarded on 22nd Oct, 2008 in the special dinner ceremony held at the Institue of Material, Minerals and Mining, London.

The paper "Firing on all cylinders" was co-authored by Haixue Yan, Rui Zhang, Deng Hua, Ton Peijs and Mike Reece. This paper was published in the October (2007) edition of the Materials World.

Fawad is currently finalising his PhD thesis under the supervision of Ton Peijs and Mike Reece. He is sponsored by Nanoforce Technology Limited and his PhD is on "ceramic-carbon nanotube nanocomposites".
